Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota entered Saturday as the Heisman favorite, and he ended Saturday as the Heisman favorite. That's what happens when you pile up six touchdowns and more than 400 yards and your team wins a rivalry game 47-19 on the road, as the second-ranked Ducks did against Oregon State. During that stellar performance against the Beavers, Mariota made a move during a play that made it look like he was posing as a certain trophy. And Register-Guard photographer Brian Davies captured it perfectly. ESPN PAC-12 Blog |

LOL! It even looks like he's watching the camera!

Go ahead, rub it in. OSU Alumni,
ReplyDeleteI will admit to being gleeful...but I have endured some pretty lean years as a Duck fan in the 70's through mid 90's.
DeleteI was at the game. The Beavs were trounced, and deserved it. But I agree, even though I'm a Beaver-in-law, that Mariota is in good stead for the Heisman.
ReplyDeleteJealousy reigns! I've been to a few Duck games at Autzen in my time growing up in Oregon....but I've never made it to a Civil War game. I fear for next year when Marcus assuredly goes to the draft....because Lockie is horrible.
DeleteIt's between him (68.6% completion rate, 3,470 yards and 36 TDs passing - only 2 INTs, 636 yards and 11 TDs rushing, 5.9 yards per carry) and Gordon (2,260 yards and 26 TDs rushing, 17 catches for 151 yards and 3 TDs receiving) and will probably be decided this weekend as both will be playing in conference championship games. I personally can't wait (this, as opposed to watching my 2-9 UConn Huskies going up against an even more pathetic 0-11 SMU squad).
